To be responsible for integrating the hospital strategic plan with operations to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the hospital, including management of the profit and loss statement for the hospital’s business, as well as the related resources associated with the hospital operation to deliver best healthcare services to the patients and achieving financial sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- To execute an operational plan for the hospital for providing outstanding healthcare services to the patients and increasing patients numbers in OPD/ IPD.
- To ensure smooth operational working of the hospital and provide necessary guidelines to hospital team for smooth functioning of hospital operations.
- To ensure the preparation of proposals with estimates for new projects of construction, renovation, general repair, and maintenance as defined in the hospital five five-year plan.
- To participate in the strategic and operational planning process under the leadership of the CEO of Teaching Hospitals.
- To ensure the availability of competent human resources based on workload and healthcare standards within approved budgets and supervise staff training and development for outstanding performance.
- To execute CEO Teaching Hospitals initiatives for the transformation Hospitals culture which encourages positivity, supporting others, sharing knowledge, taking responsibilities, flexibility for change, empowerment, to deliver excellent patient centered care.
- To collaborate with communities, educational institute and NGOs for Healthcare awareness campaigns, arranging Medical campus and attracting patients for the hospital.
- To Provide leadership support to the Manager Operations to ensure the best facility management, Ambulance Services, Transport, Hostels, and Cafeteria for the best healthcare and support services for patients and staff.
- To ensure execution of preventive maintenance plan for biomedical equipment to ensure the smooth functioning of biomedical equipment in the hospital.
- To ensure supply chain management with proper planning process of Medical Non Medical items for smooth functioning of the hospital department for patient care.
- To participate in the budget planning process for the Hospital and facilitate CEO Teaching Hospitals for arranging approval of the operating budget for the financial year.
- To ensure that Hospitals financials are managed within budget guidelines and according to the financial policies and compliance to the laws.
- To achieve Revenue and Profitability targets of the hospitals through best quality of healthcare services and closely monitor the progress on a weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly basis.
- To ensure delivery of cost-effective healthcare services through the design and implementation of process improvement, effective purchasing, and optimal resource utilization within budget parameters.
- To ensure the effective implementation of technology integration and hospital operations (Clinical / Non–Clinical) via HIMS/ SAP.
- To ensure delivery of the best medical and nursing care to patients and planning rounds of OPD, Wards, OT, Pharmacy, and Lab for consistent monitoring and improving healthcare services.
- To ensure the execution of marketing strategies to promote the best healthcare services of the hospital with more focus on social media for achieving the revenue targets with consistent growth of list of panels and cash patients as defined in RHS five years plan of the hospital.
- To ensure ISO 9001: 2015 Quality standards are implemented in true letter and spirit and periodic audits are successful with the highest scores with no deviations.
- To ensure that operational plans for best quality healthcare services are in place for the patients and ensuring outstanding patient experience in outpatient and Inpatient services through quality medical and nursing care.
- To ensure administration of quality documentation, management of quality audits, and implementation of audit points with coordination of Directorate TQM.
- To execute of quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs in line with the guidelines of (PMDC/CPSP).
- Continuous Medical Education Programs with mandatory training hours for Medical and Nursing staff are implemented and its impact on patient care is measured.
- To ensure the implementation of the Riphah Mission and Islamic Ethical Values in true spirit for staff at Teaching Hospitals by developing and monitoring mechanisms where these values are reflected in every course of action and behavior.
