To oversee the daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, managing nursing staff, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. The role includes staff supervision, budgeting, compliance with healthcare regulations, compliance to healthcare quality standards (JCI / Accreditation Canada) and fostering a positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure management of paramedical and Nursing staff including, deployment of staff with consultation of concerned matrons with 100% compliance of Quality Nursing standards.
- To play a coordinating role between Nursing, paramedical staff, Consultants and Hospital Administration.
- To monitor the Nursing Healthcare Practices through rounds and visits of wards, OPD, ER, OT and checking the patients’ files, Nursing Notes and inventory of medicine and ensuring coordination e with respective Matrons for general cleanliness and maintenance of the wards and make sure the 100% compliance.
- To be member of the board for interviews of nursing staff for all general and critical area for all RHS Hospitals and ensure implementation the orientation and training programs for the new staff.
- To supervise and monitor the duties of RHS hospitals Matrons / Nursing Incharge.
- To maintain close interaction with the Nursing and Paramedical staff in resolving their operational and administrative affairs related to workplace.
- To develop and implement approved policies and procedures and conduct regular internal monitoring/audit of Healthcare Quality Standards. Patient Safety, Infection Control and Quality assurance of nursing procedures with coordination of Healthcare Quality Directorate. Suggest and Implement improvements as and when required. Coordinate and collaborate with HQD for sustaining ISO certification, MSDS licensing. Prepare RHS hospitals for JCI and Canadian accreditation process in IIMCT hospitals.
- To make sure the 100% compliance in HIMS Nursing Module in coordination with HIMS coordinator and HQD. Support implementation and monitoring tasks in Nursing Module as per institutional requirements.
- To identify training gaps and to plan and organize Nursing and Paramedical staff training with the coordination of HQD/HDS ensuring that all scheduled training with participants are conducted with 100% compliance.
- To supervise, measure and improve the post training performance in order to ensure quality health care nursing services provision to the patients.
- To develop a mechanism for Nursing Assistant Training Programs for paramedical staff at all levels in coordination with School of Nursing and HQD.
- To coordinate with Principal Riphah College of Nursing for clinical training of college students at RHS Hospitals and support their training program as per rules and standards of PNC.
- To achieve the implementation of Riphah Mission and Islamic Ethical Values in true spirit for staff at Teaching Hospitals by developing and monitoring mechanism where these values reflects in every course of action and behaviors.
Job Requirements:
- Post RN B.Sc. (Nursing) or Generic BSN with 10 to 12 years of Experience with Leading Healthcare organizations.
