We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Teams Project Manager to lead the planning, deployment, and management of Microsoft Teams solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, collaboration platforms, and cloud-based communication systems, specifically with Microsoft Teams. This role will work cross-functionally with different types of university units (e.g., academic faculties, administrative units, and healthcare departments/hospitals), and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and user adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end implementation and migration projects related to Microsoft Teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage the scope, budget, and resources of the project to ensure successful completion.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders across the organization to identify requirements and priorities.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and challenges to senior leadership.
- Microsoft Teams Deployment: Oversee the design, configuration, and deployment of Microsoft Teams for collaboration, meetings, and telephony.
- Ensure integration of Teams with other Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper security and governance policies are applied.
- Provide guidance on best practices for team structures, channels, and document sharing within Teams.
- Change Management & User Adoption: Develop a comprehensive user adoption and training strategy.
- Deliver training sessions and create user guides to help employees transition to Microsoft Teams.
- Monitor and respond to user feedback, providing technical support where needed.
- Champion Microsoft Teams as the central collaboration tool within the organization, driving its adoption across departments.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with Microsoft and external partners for licensing, support, and technical requirements.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing Microsoft Teams add-ons or custom solutions.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
- Monitor security concerns and compliance requirements related to the deployment and usage of Microsoft Teams.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the IT sector.
- Proven experience in leading Microsoft Teams implementation projects and managing collaboration tools.
- Hands-on experience with Teamflect or similar performance management and feedback tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Experience with change management and driving user adoption in large-scale organizations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
